It feels and smells clean, I love that. However the responsiveness to maintenance issues needs to be improved. I also loved how close it is to our house.

A Place for Mom has scored Anthology Senior Living with 8.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score based on 90 reviews in the last 2 years. Over all time, Anthology Senior Living has 143 reviews with an average "overall experience" of 3.8 out of 5.
The community is new. Many of the "kinks" are not yet worked out. Management has not been able to hire and keep employees in critical positions like the cafeteria. "Skilled care" is limited to a single floor. This may be desirable for some, but is extremely limiting as age and care needs progress. The high "community fee" prevents many from moving frequently or moving at all if budgets are fixed and limited. The facility is beautiful, but look beyond the veneer. Hopefully, they will work things out, but currently there are issues.

Just like everyone right now they are having trouble with staffing so things like the house keeping is lacking a little bit. They recently had a head chef change so the meals are not as good as what they were before, and when they have to close down the dining facility and take the food to the residents the meals also struggle. We do think the quality of care there is good, and the workers they do have there are great and very lovely. It is expensive so the expectations are a little higher The engagement director has started going to some of the activities and has been impressed with how good the quality of the activities are. Also sometimes communication is lacking.

We felt this facility did not offer the amount of independence my parents were looking for. Economically it was just not a good fit for them.

Most of the staff members are absolutely phenomenal, but we have had some small issues with other staff members but overall they are all really friendly. The meals and dining service are good, they do have an option to eat in their rooms or dining room. The activities are pretty limited but they do bring in a hair dresser and a couple of the staff members will go around painting the ladies nails, but the group activities are still pretty limited. The value for cost is excellent, it is a beautiful facility. It was built in 2018, so its very nice, and our loved ones rooms is huge with nice big windows.

Large apartments, nice layout but small fridge. Convenient location. Building was older and a little darker and lower ceilings which was not as inviting. Staff seemed friendly. Liked that he could order food when he wanted. Liked the activities director — thought she could engage my father-in-law. Good price. Didn’t see many residents and most seemed a lot older and more infirm than my father in law.

Our first impression of this community was nice, it was brand new and beautiful. They had a great dining hall with a nice food menu, But once COVID came the food really went downhill, and the communication was lacking between the staff members and the residents. There would be times our loved one would hit her call button and they would not come in a timely manner. And due to it being brand new, there were not many activities to be offered.

I would tell others that the community isn't professionally run. They are chronically understaffed. I'm tired of hearing this. The staff are wearing too many hats because they are always running around doing other jobs. I don't see administrators around. The engagement team is always driving the bus, working the concierge desk, and more. The community is clean and safe for my loved one and this gives me peace of mind.

The tour that we took of Anthology of Blue Ash was amazing, we were impressed and all of the staff were very friendly. This facility is gorgeous and well decorated. The main areas were always kept clean. The staff were mostly friendly. The meals appeared to be tasty. The facility seems to have little to no knowledge of how to care for patients in memory care with late stage Alzheimer's. The staff was never consistent, which interrupted care. Several times we couldn't find any staff with a key to let us out of the memory care, because all of the staff were from agencies. We have found our loved one's room with dried fecal matter on the couch that had obviously been there for some time. They were ill equipped to deal with basic behaviors that relate to Alzheimer's such as wandering, and confusion. I would not recommend this facility to anyone I know, specifically the memory care side.

It is difficult to communicate with staff over the distance. If you are in the building, you can usually find out what you need to know or get a question answered. I do not think they are staffed and set up for assisted living --- more for independent living with some additional services

The general area was clean, but we had to sometimes clean my loved ones room. Some of the people were responsive, and some were not. Sometimes the food was cold, and always late. It was overpriced for what we got. They had trouble finding people to run the place, and were always understaffed.

The common areas of the community are really good but they need to improve on their house keeping. With the staffing struggles they are facing it has been hard for them to meet our expectations.

The place is beautiful right when you walk in it looks like a stationary cruise ship. From what we have been able to see of the community it is very clean, but our loved ones room could be more tidy. The front desk workers are absolutely exceptional, however there has been some staffing and administration problems. Administration has had multiple turnovers with temp staff agency, and the food is not good at all.

Don't assume anything is being taken care, just stay on top of it. The general staff is good, but management is not great. They've failed to notify us in advance of doctor appointments, so we've missed them. When we confronted them, they simply said they were sorry and they're trying to do better. We just received notice that fees are going up. I have not been very happy with them.

One of the primary reasons that one would begin life in an assisted living facility is to be well fed. Sadly, this facility which posts five star accommodations and lifestyle does not offer a decent meal. This is a 1 star food review experience. Sadly, it's substandard food.

What got us was that it offered everything they wanted in one shiny new place. Unfortunately, the place is falling apart. But, still, it looked nice on the tour. Food and staffing, I suppose, were the two biggest issues. But there were lots of major issues, including billing errors and care lapses. It's was a costly error in more ways than simply money.

The community is beautiful, nice spaces, nice apartments. The team was even great, until the false promises caught up to them. My family and I are tired of being led on by the community director and the sales director. They’ve been promising us things for over 6 months now and we’re now finding out these promises were fake, all in the hopes of getting and keeping our reservation.

Parents moved in high expectations. After 2 weeks they moved out. Many of the things that were part of the services were not done. Maintenance of the building poor, no one ever came in to clean their apartment, pool broken more times than working, golf simulator never worked. [name removed] has been promised since the place opened. The meal we were served as potential residents was nothing like the meals they got once the moved in. Some of the staff are very nice and tried, but it was not their responsibility. When we talked with folks there before moving in, they all said it was great. The people we spoke with turned out to be memory care residence. Very disappointed. Very costly. The director never returned calls or emails when we tried to get things resolved.
